School Lunch and Snacks
Universal Infant Free School Meals (UIFSM)
All children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 are entitled to a free school meal at lunchtime according to current Government policy.
It’s not dependent on your income, or if you receive any benefits – every child in these classes is eligible to take up the offer.

If you are in Years 3, 4, 5 and 6 you can pay for a school dinner – they are £3.00 a day and payment can be made via your Parentmail account. You are welcome to bring a packed lunch if you don’t want a school dinner.
However, some children whose families are in receipt of the following, may be eligible for free school meals :
- Universal Credit (provided you have an annual net earned income of no more than £7,400, as assessed by earnings from up to three of your most recent assessment periods)
- Income Support
- Income-based Jobseekers Allowance
- Income-related Employment Support Allowance
- Support under part VI of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999
- Child Tax Credit (provided you’re not also entitled to Working Tax Credit) and have an annual income of no more than £16,190
- The guarantee element of State Pension Credit.
