Eco- Councillors from years 1 to 6 invited Clean Air Henley to brief the whole school in morning assembly on the role idling cars play in air pollution.
Year 5 got to play Snakes and Ladders using a gigantic dice as well as a few pollution related crosswords. At pick up , members of Clean Air Henley gave out pamplets and car stickers to parents and children.
David Dickie from the organisation said ” Most noticeable to us was that we observed no parent of bus driving with an engine idling at the School gate. Well done Shiplake.”
The Councillors are meeting at the start of next term to decide on their next project.
